PORT OF SAN DIEGO

The Port of San Diego welcomes over 190 cruise ships throughout the year at San Diego's B Street Cruise Ship Terminal. Seasonally, Holland America Line and Celebrity Cruises homeport in San Diego. Other lines that will visit San Diego during the upcoming year include Princess, Carnival, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Radisson Seven Seas, Crystal Cruises, Hapag-Lloyd Line, and The World of ResidenSea.

The B Street Cruise Ship Terminal is conveniently located in the very heart of thriving, vibrant downtown San Diego and a short distance from countless attractions. Recently, San Diego has been found on cruise ship itineraries that include other fabulous destinations including, but not limited to, the Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, and even distant locales such as Tahiti. Cruises are designed to please people of all ages and vary in length. 

The Port of San Diego is 3 miles from the San Diego International Airport. Travel time from the airport is approximately 15 minutes.

We recommend that if you are booking your flights to your cruise from San Diego, that you consider arriving a day or two earlier so that you can take advantage of the local attractions as well as avoiding potential flight delays, baggage collection and transfer problems that could occur.

If you arriving the same day as your cruise departs, please schedule your flights to arrive at these airports no later 2:00 pm on the day of departure f from San Diego. If this is not possible, then come in a day prior. For return flights, do not schedule any flights departing earlier than 12:00 pm from San Diego.

PARKING

Long term and daily, is available at the lane field facility located on Broadway between Pacific Highway and North Harbor Drive. The rate is $12.00 a day and space is limited. Central Parking, operator of the parking lot may be contacted at (619) 235-5690.

Long-term parking is also available at Park & Ride lots near the Terminal. They service both the Cruise Ship Terminal and the Airport. Rates vary from $9.00-17.00 per day and may include secured, covered parking. Shuttle service is available at no charge. Please consult the local phone book under “Parking Lots & Garages” to contact operators.

DIRECTIONS

Traveling from the North

• I-5 south
• Take the exit for the San Diego International Airport.
• Continue straight on Kettner Boulevard.
• Turn right on Laurel Street.
• After crossing over Pacific Highway, stay in the left lane.
• Turn left on Harbor Drive and proceed to the terminal.

Traveling from the North and South (alternate route)

• I-5 north or south.
• Take the Front Street exit and head south on Front Street.
• Turn right on Broadway.
• Turn right on Harbor Drive and proceed to the terminal.

AMTRAK SERVICE TO AND FROM

• New Amtrak Service to California Cruise Line Ports

  Amtrak now provides daily Thruway service to Cruise Line Port Areas in San Francisco, Long Beach, San Pedro and San Diego. Direct Thruways operate from Bakersfield and Los Angeles Union Station to the Queen Mary Carnival Terminal in Long Beach and to Catalina Terminal in San Pedro (where shuttles take you to the nearby San Pedro Cruise Ship Terminal). Our San Diego station is just three blocks from the downtown San Diego Cruise Ship Terminal. From Emeryville, our Thruways take you right to Pier 39,just 1-1/2 blocks from the San Francisco Cruise Ship Terminal at Pier 35.
